What now?

The goal of this exercise is to figure out what your fellow player wants to play and with that be one step ahead of a blockade. Separate the group into pairs. Every pair has one performer and one imaginer. The performer keeps asking ‘What now?’, after which the imaginer gives a suggestion for play. The performer can only take this suggestion if they really feels like it. If not, they say ‘No’ (in a happy laughing way) and ask again ‘What now?’.

As a performer make sure you do not accept a suggestion too easily; You have to really feel like it. After all, the goal of the exercise is to teach the imaginer what good suggestions for play are to prevent you from blocking in a scene because a bad suggestion for play is done.
