French opening

The French Opening originated from the literal reverse of the British Opening: you can only enter the stage if everyone has talked. This is best tackled by moving behind the curtain with the entire team. The players form a family and the stage in front of the curtain is a certain room in the house. The players originally do not find themselves in this room, but the audience can hear them talk. In these conversations the characters are presented as well as the first play offer.

Subsequently the players can walk into the room and do something during the scene. This can be varied to your heart’s content. Players can walk on and off stage, the focus of the scene can move between the stage and the curtain.

Invented by team “Kaneel” during the lustrum tournament of Pro Deo.
